R.I.P. Teddy.
« on: August 26, 2009, 07:35:31 AM »
Being born in Boston, and raised in New England my entire life; I was saddened to hear this morning of the passing of Senator Edward Kennedy.
Over the years, as I've gotten older and matured; my respect for this man has only strengthened. He taught me that all men, even a Keneedy, were human. We all have our faults. We all have our shortcomings. We all make mistakes. But if you are strong enough; they can all be overcome; and you can make a difference.
It has always surprised me how he stayed so bipartisan; to the point of having garnered so much respect from even die-hard republicans. And a lot of the issues which he fought for were close to the hearts of myself and my family.
As the last of the Kennedy's; he will be sorely missed. As a senator; a hole has been created which may never be completely filled.
