new bumper guy?
« on: November 12, 2009, 08:58:24 AM »
Just found this on CL:
http://nh.craigslist.org/pts/1449779567.html

Emailed him, and he said he charged $50/hour for making custom bumpers.  The one shown in the picture was for a D1, and he charged that guy $550 including mounting.

Sounds like a good deal considering you're in for about $1,000 for any other bumper (once you deal with shipping)

Work looks good and the prices seem good as well, only thing I don't like is it doesn't appear to have a winch mount.  I'm sure that he could handle that though.

I asked about that, he claims it does hold a winch... perhaps the photo is not at a good angle.

Anyway I'm thinking of using him for a front and rear.  if i do i'll write a review

that does look really heavy, but it can't be significantly more than an ARB, it looks the same with just that extra A-bar protruding from the front
