Hard to find good mechanic? Not at SNHLR
« on: January 14, 2010, 07:54:14 AM »
Donny helped out a friend with a 98 Jeep Cherokee with some major issues. I wanted to point out once again how lucky we are to have mechanics like him on this site.
I am absolutely in awe of how much work he did for my friend especially for the price he charged and the depth that he went to solve all his issues.

Here is a list of what he repaired and replaced for my buddy:

"Ok I just completed the work on your 98 jeep.

The work I preformed is as follows.

Remove cyl head and have hot tanked, magna fluxed, and machined.
Reinstalled head with new head gasket, valve stem seals, valve covergasket and all new bolt grommets, new intake and exhaust manifold gasket as well.
Install new spark plugs,wires,cap,and rotor,.
Install new direct fit Bosch front A/F sensor.
Clear check engine light.
Install new thermostat and gasket.
Install new life time warrenty water pump and gasket
Install new rad cap.
Remove Rad and had repaired
Replace with new coolant.
Pressure test system for further leaks none found at this time.
Install new rear brake shoes. Clean, lube, adjust backing plates and e brake assembly.
Install new rear pinion seal. Clean off diff, top off fluid.
Install new front pinion seal. Clean off diff, top off fluid.
Diagnose and replace blower motor resistor.
Diagnose and repair poor steering. Found one broken bolt and the other two bolts loose on power steering box.Retap bolt holes in steering box and install new bolts with locktight.
Install new clamp on rear tailpipe to hold tail pipe in place"

Thanks Don!

Don did you make sure to wash your hands in holy water before you touched your truck again though? Don't want to spread any jeep germs :)
