new winch bumper
« on: May 13, 2010, 08:28:46 PM »
on one long rainy night i decided to test out a great mud pit in my back 80 with rob and ended up sunk up to my hood in a few feet of clay with an additional foot of standing water.. fun! needless to say every method of recovery was tried and failed until robs jerk strap came into use (the next day) i ripped off my brush guard and blew up lights with the shock of the pull.

i turned to forrest to help me out with a diesel front bumper that would never fail me in this type of situation. he made me a  .25 inch steel winch bumper that wrapped around my front end, was low profile, sleek and strong, and was built up into my grill for extra approach angle. it turned out great.

no winch yet so i wanted it to not look weird without one, gonna get those bolt on jeep recovery pts with the d rings that hang over the side welding big blocky ones took away from the bumper
