Always used NGK or Bosch Platinum 4-Spark. The Bosch are not cheap but last for ages and you don't loose the gap like you do with regular plugs. ;)

I always found that the Champion's broke down way before the NGK or Bosch, maybe just a quality thing for us over here.

Okay great info. I noticed on the link that it recommends not using them with OEM plug wires. Do you use the Magnecor Wires that are recommended?

No, but they are slightly better quality than the standard ones and IIRC they were 8mm dia rather than the standard 7mm.

Curious, any thoughts on the wires themselves??
Maybe the better question is, in addition to good spark plug wires, is there anything I can do that will further insulate the plugs in reference to water proofing the system?

I used a accel make ur own kit that fit a 70's ford t bird with a 460. That kit comes with more then long enuff wires and the correct ends for the cap and plugs. Took  about 45mins tomale all eight.. And all i did was use a very libral amount of dielectric grease on both ends. Has worked great foe me soo far!!

I wana say the kit was like 38-40 bucks in stock at advanced auto. As for making them all to need is a pair of cutters and a pair of crips!! Super easy!! do them one at a time crip on the dist end,run wire where you want it cut to length slide on other boot crip on plug end add gease plug onto spark plug and do the next on and so on and so forther!! Super easy!! Lol it took me longer to type how to do it then it would to do it!!

Confused Ben...hard to make or crap in performance????

Follow up post:

One other thing I guess I will say is that I have found out the hard way that the ignition parts should be used from manu like Lucas and or OEM as, aftermarket is crap with these cranky little girls..kind of surprised that it is okay to use aftermarket on the plug wires....happy mind you...just surprised....
