Hello all. I received this e-mail from a proud series3 owner....in the Netherlands. He comes to us looking for help. Here is his entire e-mail. Can anyone help out??? Thanks. tom
Dear Tom,
I watched a youtube video with a series II having fun the woods, rocks and
snow and ended up at your website. As of last sunday I'm the proud owner
of a seriesIII 88" 1977 and I'm beginning my first restoration ever! I've
set up a weblog to document each step I take and I can really use all the
tips/advice and help I can get!!
I'm hoping you would be so kind to check it out, perhaps link it from your
site.
The URL is:
http://lrseries3.blogspot.comA little bit about myself:
I live near Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 28yrs old, work in the
Internet/Consultancy field, maried, no kids (yet). Am going to do the
restoration/build on my driveway (see pics in the firstpost of the blog).
About the car:
It's been imported out of britain 3 years ago, sat still at a blokes house
for that same period, the chassis is rock solid but the petrol engine died
(reason I believe it was sold to the netherlands in the first place). This
dutch guy put a diesel engine in but never propperly hooked it up.
I've downloaded several manuals about the series from the internet which
prove to be quite helpfull. The only problem is I don't know where all the
loose parts of this diesel engine should be placed/connected (oil cooler,
gaspedellinkage, etc etc). Perhaps you have some photos of engine
compartments that match my series?
Thank you again for any help,
Kind regards,
Ronald Helmstrijd
