any time is good for me.  i need to check the site more often.  perhaps a quick email to members in advance of a meet would be good too.

just something to consider.

thx

we usually post to the events calender, but the summer seems to be willy nilly...in Sept. we will be going back to the Meet&Greet format.   If you have an event you want to do, post up the idea, if the members get excited, send details to me and I will write it up and post on event calender.  The more time you give the members to rap their thoughts around it, the more advanced notice we have !!!   1) Pick the trail or activity   2)The date     3)Meeting place and time.

May I make one suggestion? Check your membership, via a poll. Find out how many rigs that go out regularly are daily drivers. If you have a lot of DD's, then set your runs for Saturdays, if you are going to preplan them like this. I do my runs down here quarterly, and I have them planned out six months ahead of time. That way, after a run, if there are major concerns or problems voiced by the attendees, I have three months to fix those issues before the next one. But if you have a breakdown on a saturday, the membership can get together, rallye around a fellow member on Sunday, and usually have him going for work/school on Monday. Unless it's something major. And in that case, they might need sunday just to arrange for a tow or flatbed.

Sounds like things are progressing nicely up there. Keep it going, Tom.

You will always have the spur of the moment runs. And that's good. It gets a "core" central group[ of guys to count on. But ALL members need to remember that for a club to fluorish, there has to be at least a little structure. And a LOT of planning to see it grow.
