1997 4.0 Discovery My New Daily Driver !!

Hello. I was able to locate a 1997 Disco w/ a 4.0 ltr.  Jonathan and I went to look at it at the dealership. I was told it was just traded in for a Mitsu Eclipse!  The chassis, frame and all the underneath is mint! Wax oiled to the hilt. not a speck of dirt. I wanted to leave a deposit but the guy's brother was there by chance and didnt want to do it on sunday.  He asked me to see him on Tuesday.  The vehicle drove smooth. Shifted very smoothly, brakes were good. a/c worked..blah blah.   just got off the phone with the guy...I own a disco!!!   $2200.00

Watch out I may come looking for the bumper :P  Good looking rig.  No need for the waxoil, it will leak enough real oil to coat the under body good.

Unhuh...we will see how long that lasts.  It is a good vehicle, surprised you didn't go with a D2, they are better on road than a D1.

Congrat's on that.

It's funny how inexpensive they are now. I think most people just can't afford the maintainence/repair any longer (which tend to be on the very high side) .

slight hyjack;

what year do you need? I have a set of '99 bumpers ....mint.....with whatever factory lights were originally in them. Owner wants $300 for the pair. will not separate....and that is about what I have seen the individual bumpers going for so it is like getting the other one for free.

Tom; Congratulations on the new LR! Be careful, or your driveway will start looking like mine. Especially when your son comes over to visit. All you need now is a SIIa hybrid, and we'll be even. lol!

It does, it was designed to.  However my LR3 has both the D1 and D2 beat on road... :P

I need the bumper for a 96 SD I do not have fog lights but if it is a deal I will take the lower part as well.  I also need a grill that was smashed good on mine.  The rest of the trim pieces have cracks and scratches but some glue and pounding can bring it back into shape.  

If your going to be around the shop on Tuesday or Wednesday I can stop by.  I am still out of work on Medical.  That way you can see what else I might need.
