Make sure all your emission vacuum lines (T-Fitting) are hooked up properly. If they aren't the engine can pressurize and leak a lot more than it would normally.

I'm not sure how different the emission system is on the 4.0, but it's a good thing to check. When I first bought my GDE is leaked like crazy and sprayed oil out the back on the highway. Now it's pretty much dry (minus the minor power steering leak).

Tom don't worry too much about the leak it is nothing to get worked up about.  I have put 5K on mine since I got it and still haven't got it completely cleaned up.  Just work at it and fix what you find, you may get it first time or it may elude you until you sell it.  Best not to worry too much and enjoy the truck.

I told him he was crazy for going with a Rover for his every day driver, but even just looking at it in the driveway, it's hard for me not to be stoked for the addition to the family.

The boards are something else, but get your ass in gear and order the 'Land Rover' lettering from Rovers North or something. Nothing says Rat Rover like faded lettering. Nothing.
