You do all that work and you still leave that broken light back there. I bet the broken one on the front, (from rear ending me :), is still there too, huh?

I remember seeing that light the first time I met Chris and thinking 'that won't last very long'.  A couple hours later it was broken.
Chris, what did you paint it with, it looks good.  I just did my axle housings with POR 15.

Haha. I tried for quite awhile to get that damned thing off. The bolt is really, really rusted and it's very difficult to keep the thing from spinning so i gave up on it and decided to tackle it later. And yes, the front one is still on there :)

I wirebrushed the whole thing, sanded, washed then used Rustoleum clean metal primer and then a couple top coats. I did the same on my range rover and it has held up quite well, so decided to give it a try on this as well. Turned out pretty well. Sounds like a good idea to do the axle housings. When I first got the truck, it had all the original undercoating on it. However, after our numerous adventures most of it has flaked off and rust is forming.

Now to drop 200 bucks on a receiver hitch. And some more on a new tank guard! And then springs... shocks.... bumper... winch... shall I continue?

Where did you find POR15? Did you mail order it?

hey looks great Dennis! When I put new springs and shocks on I'm going to follow suite and paint the frame and such for preservation. POR-15 seems like the way to go.

I hope you didn't miss the 'duct tape'.  I couldn't work without it.
