Watts linkage & ODBII Cable
« on: October 16, 2008, 07:27:59 AM »
Just started getting a loud thud when side-to-side articulating at low speed. Looked under the truck and it appears the center bushing on the Watts linkage is gone. Has anyone dealt with these before? Rave CD shows it as a bushing swap but bushings are around 80$ each. Just curious if you guys found it better to replace the whole unit or just do the bushings?

Also, does anyone know of a bushing replacement kit that includes those? Can't find a kit that lists the Watts bushings with it.

Also, went to inspect it yesterday and got no voltage at the OBD cable. Truck passed safety but can't pass emissions until it can at least read that its connected. Checked all the fuses and am looking for damage to the harness/cable/connections. Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

If you're planning on lifting your DII in the future, and you have to work on the watts anyhow; go ahead and buy the RTE watts linkage now, and get it out of the way.
