Though I appreciate your thoughts for my safety, I am unbelievably amazed at how scared people are of both the hood mounted tire and this high lift jack.
The only way mounting the tire on the hood in the first place was possible was the fact that I have reinforced the hood under the bonnet. It has two very large pieces of 3/4" square steel tubes, slightly arched metal tubing that are about 3(Feet) long running across the hood.
I remember when I was doing my amazing hill sliding (Not climbing) on Ethan's hill, that someone said that the tire was pushing in the hood...that was not because the tire was to heavy, it was because the square tube that I used on one of the pieces was not curved enough and pulled down the arch of the bonnet.
If anyone hits me with enough force to dislodge either the tire or the Hi-Lift, believe me the least of my problems will be the jack coming at my head!:)
I love you to Tom:)
Notice how I have learned to stay out of that political threads!?!?
Love Tex
PS I like those Jeep sites, those crazy bastards have already forgot more crazy mods than I have ever even thought of!
Gavin pay attention:)
