200 or 300 TDi, probably. When I get that far; there will be a lot of long talks with Matt Browne. Maybe even Nissan or Isuzu, or Iveco. Not 100% sure yet. This will be a budget build, since it's Rover #4 in the stable.

I have an Iveco, And its diesel is surprisingly strong and tough with the turbo.

Budget diesel now you are speaking my language. Although I can't seem to find any diesel engines for what I call budget.

Anyone know the engine code on the Iveco diesel? I'm going to a few yards tomorrow with the company dually, and my tax return!

This weekend's progress report: Finished the cuts on both front fenders, as well as the inners for both rear fenders. Before and Afters Below. Also, cut 4 inches off of each side of the front bumper, and angled to follow body lines.

Also finished the cuts for the actual bobtail. Narrowed the floorpan by 12 inches on each side at the rear, and attaching the outermost panels to the cutline, instead of the inner panels. So in the end, truck will be over two feet narrower than stock, at the rear bumper line. Also, started cutting more of the bumper away to get an idea of what i will want for a final design.

A trusty motor is a Iveco 4 cylinder. After all its a 3.9 diesel and its a turbo. It pulls a box truck good, it sounds good. I would highly recommended a 4 cylinder because it has good fuel economy too, 20 to the gallon. I have heard on the six cylinder it skyrockets! I don't know the engine serial number, because its night time, but I could check tomorrow if you wanted?

If you could find an engine type #, that would be great. Then I could start doing some web research on what they were offered in, and go from there. Thanks.

I bought a new rear axle this week; will take photos once it arrives. Won't spoil the surprise yet; but will say I'll have to be going to coilovers in the rear now! Woo-Hoo.
