How come you have to bleed? shouldn't have to disconect any hoses to remove clutch.

Anyhow, don't forget to use only synthetic fluid (Lucas or Castrol GTLMA). Have had I don't know how many rigs I've had in the shop lately that have used the wrong fluid and ruined all the hydraulics.

yeah, check the fluid. It literally has to be Lucas or Castrol. The results of other fluid are rebuilding.

What about dot 5 sythetic or silicon break fluid. I replaced all the hydraulics in my 88 that was sitting for 29 years and filled it up and bled it/still using dot 5. Was this a good idea? or should i start gathering parts to redo my hyrdaulics again?

Prolly be OK. Lucas and Castrol are both synthetic. Castrol is pretty easy to find and I know it is compatible....so I generally recomend it. I don't know about some of the other brands that are out there and I'll admit to not having done any research on them....but I'd guess that being synthetic they'd be ok.

Does have big warnings on the filler caps of most Rover systems, that's the funny (sad) bit about all the rigs that get the wrong stuff in them.

nice Jimmy, now that the trucks working again I will have to get you that axle, in 2 weeks I am going up to plymoth NH and could take the southern route to get there.  I would be swinging by your area mid to late after noon on friday, or late afternoon on sunday.
