I'm going to look at white 95 LWB RRC tomorrow after work.  I know it has a dead battery, dead air suspension, broken hood release cable some rust in the rear load space floor.  82k miles.

I have a sickness, and the 95 Classic is the pinnacle of that sickness.

Oh did I mention the seller only wants  $650......

I forgot to ask the question though....  Does anyone know a good way to open the hood with a busted cable?

remove the grill and you can get at the latch with a hooking tool (you'll have to use some imagination for that).

Carefull for the rust. '95's are just like the rest of them, except the usefull parts are less usefull as the '95 is....well....different (that's the oddest statement I have made today, but it's still early).

Any way to remove the grill without destroying it? You need to get under the hood to remove it properly.

you can pry up the locking tabs from outside (looong skinnnny screwdiver). I've had to break into these things I don't know how many times. You can also get at the latch without removing the grill .....from underneath. Either way this is going to try your patience.

Ah yes. I suppose with the big spacing you could fit in there. I don't think I've ever seen a RRC hood that was aligned properly.

That is aligned properly.......so you can get the bonnet open without using the cable....or peek in and make sure the motor is still there!

haha. My favorite is on the highway when the hood shakes a bit... It always gets the passengers commenting. However I have been able minimize it pretty well.

Well we got the grill off but none of us could get the hood popped.  If I could verify the motor tranny and tc I would buy it.  It has rust issues but no show stoppers for me.

Did you pull the carpet up at all? I couldn't believe the places that stuff hides.

I should've taken pictures of when I ripped my interior apart. I was too focused on patching it up and putting it back together.

Oh I did pull it up and it has some rough spots but nothing  I couldn't deal with.  Without being able to check the drivetrain though its kinda pointless.

Funny how different things can be. I don't even look at the drivetrain anymore. I look for rust. If it has ANY at this point I walk if it is more than $500. No more rotten RRC's for this guy. It's a battle you'll never win.
