« on: May 15, 2009, 08:05:49 PM »
ENH has given me permission to invite SNHLR to their anniversary run in Troy,NH on May 23. There will be 3 classes for you to choose from. The easy class for the beginers and stock rigs, the moderate class for the more experienced and slightly modified rigs and the hard class. There will also be camping available for those who are interested in a two day event. All are welcome. Wheeling will begin at 10 am and end at 5. We have a group meeting up and heading up at 7 in the Dover area. All who are interested can get more info here http://forums.exploringnh.com/showthread.php?t=6877. I hope you can attend.

we did some scouting of the trails and the easy class is going to be fun. there will be a section where i will have to winch people up a ledge but other then that it will be under everyones own power. the moderate trails will definetly require spotters and possibly a locker. i walked part of the hard trail and its more like buggy terrian. lots of vertical climbs between trees, damage is likely

Follow up post:

for those who will be unable to make it, i am mapping the public trails out next weekend and i can set up a Rover run in june, if thats cool with you

Rhonda and I will be in the stocker group if I can get the damn front recovery point mounted..

Any suggestions for easy mounts on the front of a D2 with a stock front bumper? So far, all I have is the towhook

If you want I can weld something on for you. I know someone who has some s-10 hooks kicking around. I thought those came with a front recovery point. Mine has two hoops on the frame

I think it is just a tow hook. Have to open a small plastic cover on the front bumper air dam.  Will look a little farther tomorrow.

It may work though.

Ok, looked at the Rave CD it says that is a suitable vehicle recovery point. Looks pretty iffy but LRNA says it works so I'm going to try it.

Any idea where we're going to be camping BTW so I can make reservations?

There is a spot along one of the trails. No reservations needed.
As long as there is a spot to hook a winch or strap to, thats all that counts.
