Kingsborne plug wires

...anyone ever try them?

I just ordered a set of 8mm for like $35.  Everyone said the Magnecore 8mm were the way to go, but I couldn't justfiy $100 for plug wires... seemed retarded.  I've heard nothing but good things about these KB's and they're supposed to be of comparable build quality to the Mag's.

just wondering if anyone else had tried them. I'll report back once they're installed

We throw away Magnecor wires all the time. Junk. Don't waste any money on those.

I'm running the KB's on my Jag build quality is excellent and so far I haven't had any issues with them at all.

well they just arrived yesterday and they look good.  I mean, 8 of them are there and the wires look nice and beefy.

Unfortunately I probably won't be able to install them until August, as I'm flying out west for an archaeological expedition.

But i'll be sure to write a review

Like every thing else I have an opinion on Magnacores...

I used to sell them when i was in the biz, i sold about 50 sets and I never had a complaint...  Then it happened during a tune-up my set of 8mm that i had on my RRC Classic the wire jackets were all cracked and bits were falling off... OK lifetime warranty great ill give them a ring,  I was told to send them in for evaluation as requested... OK but can you send me a replacement first... Sure if you buy them. If were at fault ill refund.. OK I decided to upgrade to a set of the 9mm.. It gets better...  OK I sent them in sa requested and they refused to honor the warranty claiming I destroyed the wires... BS i never used any chemicals on them...  I'm pissed but oh well Ive been burned by vendors before but i told him to cancel my account, I was small fish he did not care...  OK now to add insult to injury I installed the new 9MM and left directly on  a road trip to NM. Well every 100 miles I had a cylinder drop off cause the Spark plug end boot would pop off various cylinders... Yes they were seated properly and the clip locked...  Magnacore advised to change out the plugs... Two sets later still the same.... Well some where in all this one of the wires got badly burned...  OK I'm in Albuquerque and i go to a local speed shop They never heard of such a problem. I had to do something so I bought a set of 10mm MSD universal wire set and built my own... It was an excellent set came with various coil end boots. It also came with a crimp tool...  Well nothing quite as permanent as a temporary repair... Ive had that set for 6 years now on a Disco and my 90...

Oh and Magnacore never honored the warranty because I damaged the wire. and would not even send me a replacement...  To hell with them...

Well thats my opinion based experiance...

Update;

I've installed the wires along with a new set of Bosch Platinum +4 plugs (i know, people have opinions on THOSE too)

Anyway, the wires fit perfectly and appear to be of very sound quality.  Installation took around two hours tops, most of which was taking breaks to have a snack or change the CD.

The truck is running much smoother than it had been with the worn stock wires and a set of very worn Champion plugs (it was definetely time for a new set).

So, so far I would recommend them after driving for about 20 miles (ha).

I have about 5k on the ones on the Jag and I'm happy with them.

Of course it only took about 10 min to change them on the old DOHC straight 6 in the Jag :D
