Ghost in my network
« on: July 01, 2009, 05:25:24 PM »
Not sure if I am posting on the right site but, I have been having router thast keeps resetting (Belkin F5D7230-4 v8000) IP 192.168.2.1 defualt of course..the damn thing resets every night. I have updated the firmware and reset the box itself.
I hae come to the conclusion that the box is infected with a spirit from the past. I was told there might be someone that could help me out with this issue?!?!?! :)

Tom please help!

Tex

P.S. Don't waste your time trying tho hack the router I'm way ahead of you :)

reset as in all of your settings? Or just turning on and off. Maybe a power thing?

Hard reset to flush out the custom settings. Keep un pluged for 30 or so min so your ISP will re issue a diffrent IP... Then buy a real one belkin is @#$%^^

Keep un pluged for 30 or so min so your ISP will re issue a diffrent IP.

Generally IP assignments are based on the router's MAC address...
